We hope you are enjoying the holidays with your family and your friends. If you think you don't receive gifts enoughs, some new music (and video) could end your 2015 in a good way. And yes, we are back after some weeks of silence, and 2016 will be for us a great year.

1. Diplo: Diplo and Friends Best Of 2015 Mix

We finally saw him everywhere. First, the duo with Skrillex named Jack Ü made a good album with definitively a new breathe for J. Bieber with "Where Are Ü Now". Second, his great band Major Lazer made records with the single "Lean On" (almost 1 billion views on YouTube), a great part of an album very probably dedicated to France, Peace Is The Mission.

In clear, Thomas Wesley Pentz didn't stop touring with his friends. Previously he revealed with Sleepy Tom the single "Be Right There", and for his Diplo and Friends Show, he gave us his favorite tracks of 2015. Diplo is not ready to stop producing, we're sure.

2. Skrillex: Stranger

If the definition of Skrillex's concerts is strong and fire performances, he also can do calm songs or even an ode to the world. A goal succeed with The Creators Project - who made in 2012 a beautiful end for M83's trilogy with "Wait" - who both present a emotional and a lightful video for "Stranger" in piano-voice version with Sam Dew, KillaGraham, Tennyson and White Sea.

The message Sonny Moore shows us is strong and clear: little, big, old, young, from every place or from every belief, we're "strangers" but we're all the same, and nothing should prevent the fact of being all together.

3. Bring Me The Horizon: Drown (live from Maida Vale)

The power of That's The Spirit confirmed the new Bring Me The Horizon after Sempiternal. More vocals and more music ways have been explored by Oliver Sykes' band, and we can only love, as the full fifth album. We keep in mind their performance at Reading and Leeds in August, where everyone noticed Oli's love for Japanese kawaii metal band BABYMETAL with a special T-Shirt.

For the song "Drown", already revealed in 2014 before album's release, the band offered for Christmas an orchestral version made with the BBC. Beautiful.

4. Muse - Agitated (live at Glasgow Barrowlands)

21 years and still young, Bellamy, Wolstenholme and Howard came back on the rock lines with their 7th album Drones, full of guitar riffs and powerful songs as "Pyscho", "Reapers" or "Revolt". We had right to the beautiful following of Origin Of Symmetry's "Citizen Erazed" with "The Globalist" during 10 minutes.

The band wish us "Musey" Christmas with their song "Agitated" at Glasgow Barrowlands, first recorded before te release of Showbiz in 1999.

5. Radiohead - Spectre

You are not dreaming, the guys of Oxford are back on the studios since a few times. And if we all are waiting to hear their upcoming 9th album - following The King Of Limbs (2011), Thom Yorke's Radiohead revealed a special song for 007 Spectre movie.

"Last year we were asked to write a tune for Bond movie Spectre. Yes we were ... It didn't work out", Yorke said, "but became something of our own which we love very much. As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it. Merry Christmas. May the force be with you", he ended to refer to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

So, it haven't been used for official soundtrack, Sam Smith did. However, maybe it was too much good to put on movie's opening. So good that a fan combined the song to the opening deleting Smith's "Writing's On The Wall". So good the original song on SoundCloud has been played more than 3 million times in a few days.

What do you think of all these songs/sets? Have you got some other Christmas gifts like this? Anyway, we wish you Happy New Year 2016 in advance for France. Keep...

We start to know better Engus and Eleonore, these two young French phenomenons of electronic duo Carbon Airways. On September 28 they released a new hard and jumper track called "Dust", already performed in live before the out date.

Calm before the storm. You Walk Away EP was acclamed by the US fans during their perfomance at Coachella Festival last year. Then, after a tour and months of work, new EP is on the way. Starting by "Break The Silence", with their video showed as an anthem for young generation who's got his word to say about the world's pain, very linked to Hunger Games: The Mockingjay Part 2 movie. The song "Blasted Daydream" then is released at late July.

The next? Japan's Summer Sonic Festival. Applaused by Japanese fans (at the time of The Prodigy, Madeon and Dillon Francis), they spent two weeks in the rising sun's country, with music and... games. Kendama or something.

At their back in Europe, Carbon Airways continue their adventure. "Dust" is out, different of previous EP and the two previous songs. A little bit dark, but very strong, especially then they perform it live.
Their new EP named Distance Forces will be released on late October. About their debut album, they wait the good moment to reveal it. If you want to discover new songs, go see them in a gig.

After six months of waiting - for us, and of filming for the actors - since the special episode Last Christmas, the BBC revealed the official trailer for Doctor Who's Series 9, starring Peter Capaldi (The Doctor) and Jenna Coleman (Clara Oswald) for a second full series. 90 seconds of new characters, returns and surprises, in the order.

19''. New characters, new monsters. Metal soldiers (not Cybermen), hands coming from the ground, a guy with dark eyes ... it looks like the Doctor hasn't seen everything in the universe.

23''. We are (almost) sure that the greatest enemies of the Doctor, the Daleks, will be part of the ninth series. Unless the video would show the back of Rusty, a "good" Dalek appeared in Into The Dalek.

25'' New characters with two heads in one, wearing a Chinese hat. An other one three seconds later, more human.

30''. Missy is back. Revealed as the woman version of the Master in Dark Water/Death In Heaven, we ignore if this character played by Michelle Gomez will fight with or against the Doctor and Clara.

38''. Apparently an alien city. An other view at 51''.

40''. A man in a cave. Are we back in Karn, the planet where the 8th Doctor (Paul Mc Gann) became the War Doctor (John Hurt) in The Night Of The Doctor? We're not sure.

43''. Not surprising that Clara Oswald still travels with the Doctor in the TARDIS. But notice the orange spacesuit weared by the Doctor in The Waters of Mars (with David Tennant), Hide (with Matt Smith) and Kill The Moon (with Capaldi).

50''. Friend or enemy? He has similar eyes as the guy at 19''.

53'' The 12th Doctor hugging Clara, it's rare. But we love it.

55''. A little girl kidnapped by a Zygon. Oh, you probably discovered Zygons in The Day Of The Doctor, but we think they forget to be good after saving London.

57''. The coolest moment of the trailer: the Doctor plays electric guitar in the TARDIS. Electric guitars are cool. Capaldi, you rock.

64''. "I'm the Doctor, and I save people." Saving the universe by wearing sunglasses is cool, doesn't it, Matt Smith?

79''. "What took you so long, old man?" The most waited moment for Series 9. We discover finally Maisie Williams, starred as Arya Stark in HBO's Game Of Thrones, in her mysterious role in Doctor Who's double episode The Girl Who Died/The Woman Who Lived.
According to the video's comments about Williams' words, she could play Jenny, appeared in The Doctor's Daughter where she promised to find the Doctor again, with a new face. Or, better, Susan Foreman, the Doctor's granddaughter - after a regeneration - who appeared in Doctor Who's all first episode An Unearthly Child, broadcast in 1963. If Maisie Williams plays a Time Lord, she could be Jenny or Susan. Or someone else?

Take a sticky note, sonic screwdriver and TARDIS fans, a remember this date: Saturday, September 19. Series 9 will start with The Magician's Apprentice, whose we are waiting the teaser. By the way, a tenth series has been confirmed on July 14th. Ready, time travellers?

Forget all what you know about science. The complexity of your brain and your head. No molecules, no electric signal, no neurons. Replace all that by five people representing emotions in the Head quarters. Joy makes us happy and does everything to keep in mind our best moments. Sadness is almost pessimistic about all and loves tears. Disgust is the rebel against green vegetables (unless they come from a plane). Fear hates to take risks or he screams. And Anger loves to play with fire and authority, whilst reading a newspaper.
That is the "point of view" of Pete Docter who make the story of Inside Out, in theatres in France since June 17, and in the US on June 19.

Five emotions who manage - since the birth - the life of Riley Anderson, 11 years old, a young girl loving ice hockey who will discover San Francisco with her parents. The head of Riley - and of everyone - is a Headquarter whose emotions create for each moment a "memory sphere", colored based on emotions (yellow for Joy by example). Before Riley's moving in San Francisco, we can see a majority of yellow spheres. But since she entered her new home, there are more purple, green and red spheres ...

The first day of school can bring Joy spheres again, but Sadness accidentally touches reminds, becaming blue, and attracts Joy into the Intern Memory, a library of colored spheres. Meanwhile in the Headquarter, Anger, Fear and Disgust, alone in front of the "life commands", try to manage Riley without happiness and tears, but problems come one by one : anger during the dinner, lost of the passion of ice hockey ... and the worst is yet to come: Riley ran away to return in Minnesota. In Riley's head, it's the panic: islands - made by the best memories - are falling one by one in a big hole containing lost memories. Family, Honesty, Ice Hockey, Humor ... all are destroyed.

Between the worlds of subconcience, imagination, abstact and Dream Productions, Joy and Sadness, with the help of Bing Bang - Riley's best imaginary friend - will do everything to come back to the Headquarter and to save Riley. Finally arrived, Riley come back to home in San Francisco in tears, but happy. Joy and Sadness create a huge memory represented by a blue and yellow sphere, creating a big island.

The Anderson family come back to home town where Riley grew up, and the library starts to be full of mixed emotion spheres and bigger islands. The team of emotions received for Riley's 12th birthday a new "life control panel" whose the "puberty" button (Joy thinks first it's not so important). All is fine now in the family, but the question is: what could be happenned at 12 years old ?

If Pixar's Inside Out received a great majority of positive reviews, it's normal : very creative, powerful and worked, even that Pete Docter had specialists of emotions and childhood as weapons to make the story. After watching the movie (available in 3D for a great experience), we want to imagine these little voices in the head in Inside Out's way. By the way, much people want to see a sequel of the movie, watching Riley at 12, 13 or 16 years old. Ask the question to Pixar, we hope a positive answer of Joy.

“Dedicated to those who sacrifice their freedom to break the silence.” Here is how the video starts : Carbon Airways refer to people launching alerts and putting their lives to danger when they report a threat ... like Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), ready to fight Snow for 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II' movie, out this November.

It's by the way in a set of the movie where the video for "Break The Silence" has been filmed. Young people wearing scarfs - and reduced to silence - will put them out at the end of the video, showing “And you ... would you sacrifice your freedom ?”. According to Aficia, this video is an anthem of a young and angry generation which doesn't want to be speakless face to modern world's pains.

"Break The Silence" is a huge rap-pop sound announced on May 3. First planned for May 11, Carbon Airways gave a sound preview on a Facebook video showing Eleonore - the lead singer - waken up by a strange boy. A video is announced later and some pictures of the filiming and the video is out on June 15.

Their new EP is planned for September 2015, and they will be at Japan's Summer Sonic Festival this July. The debut album 'Outrenoir' is on the road ...

While we are waiting for Radiohead's ninth studio album, band's leader doesn't stop surprizing his fans. Six months after his second solo album Tomorrow's Modern Boxes, during 38 minutes, Thom Yorke did recently a song during... 25,920 minutes. Or 432 hours. Or 18 days.

Named "Subterrane", this song has been created exclusively for his friend Stanley Donwood and its retrospective exhibition, "The Panic Office". Donwood worked with Radiohead since 1994 (before The Bends), by designing band's albums plus all associated artwork. His exhbition is presented at CarriageWorks in Sydney (Australia) from May 21st to June 6th. And "Subterrane" is played during all the exphibition.

The thing is that "Subterrane" is made of ambient recordings and played through speakers in the floors, walls, and ceilings of the space, according to Juxtapoz. And the most impressive is that the song doesn't repeat itself several times. That means that it is much worked.

The worst: you won't find it on the Internet. Even by taping "thom yorke subterrane" on Google, the first links are related with Radiohead's song "Subterranean Homesick Alien" from OK Computer (1997). It is natural : Yorke wants this song like Donwood's exhibition : punctual, temporary and we can only enjoy it even more, if we are in Sydney.

Just about Radiohead, the band's official website opens by a colorful moving background linked to "Dead Air Space", but we don't know what this means. It's up to you to decode it...

Are you able to listen to a 432-hour long song? And more importantly, are you ready for Radiohead's new album release?

Sources: Virgin Radio (French), Semi-pernanent

UPDATE: the French website My Band News revealed by Dropbox a 3 minute video of Donwood's exhibition with Thom Yorke's "Subterrane" song in background. Watch it here : tinyurl.com/img7281...

Announced on December 8 with the release of his new single "You're On (feat. Kyan)", Madeon's debut album Adventure will "tell" the story of the French electro producer and prodigy, known on YouTube with his 39-song mashup "Pop Culture" (26 million views today). Expected to be released on March 30, the album will contain 12 fresh songs whose "You're On" and "Imperium", released in November.

The square, always the square ...

... or the diamond. It is what we see on the artworks for "Imperium" and "You're On". And, no surprise : the symbol formed by the square and the two arrows is on the two artworks for Adventure. The Deluxe version artwork shows a part of the landscape appearing in the classic version, inside the symbol. The classic version shows Madeon's logo, "Adventure" in Madeonian code and the tower present in "You're On" video.

On this debut album, we will discover 10 new tracks of Madeon who worked on them with soime artists, as Kyan, Dan Smith, Foster The People's Mark Foster, Aquilo and Passion Pit's Mickael Angelakos (who collaborated with Skrillex on "Recess" song). The Deluxe version will add 6 tracks with the 12 others as "The City", "Icarus", "Finale", "Cut The Kid", "Technicolor" and "Only Way Out", one of Madeon's hidden songs appearing in some old sets.

(from left to right : artworks for "Imperium", "You're On",  Adventure and Adventure Deluxe)

Chapter 1 : The city, the tower and the the code

One week after "You're On" release, Madeon revealed on YouTube the official video for the song as Part 1 for Adventure, as M83 did in 2011 for "Midnight City" (from the album Hurry Up, We're Dreaming) with the kids having superpowers - and coming back in "Reunion" and "Wait".

Here is what Madeon "built" these last months and what we see in the video : a huge tower and a big city in the desert, full of strange symbols (actually letters). We see a young woman, walking in this city, who is intrigued by the tower, brighting at night. A day, she meets a boy having on his arm a tattoo of the diamond symbol. Both find each other the night during Madeon's set and push together a button, lighting the tower. A "To be continued" ends the video, making us waiting for Part 2.

The "Madeonian" symbols - or letters - as we like to call, are everywhere on the buildings of the city. If we know how to decode them, we can read some words as "Don't Jump", "We see you", "Stay here", "Don't jump" and "City is your home forever".

By the way, the symbols appear on the artworks for "Imperium", "You're On", Adventure and on the videos for "The City" ("This was our city") and the teaser for "Technicolor" ("We can get it back"). This make us believe that Madeon puts codes and clues at each song or artwork.

Ready to join Madeon's adventure ?

If you are in the USA, you will probably go to Coachella Festival from April 10 to April 19 (headlined by AC/DC, Jack White and Drake). Madeon will reveal his first "Adventure" set on Sundays 12 and 19 with maybe screens forming the diamond, and the square screen, which will be connected to his Launchpads as he revealed at La Nuit SFR Live last year.

We all cant wait to here these songs with evocating names : "Zephyr" (a diamond), "Pixel Empire" (appearing in "Technicolor" artwork), "Home" (from the sentence in "You're On" video) and "Isometric" (Madeon looks loving maths). The tour dates will be come in the next days, so stay connected.

You can pre-order Adventure and discover the tracklist of the album in the Apple Store : itunes.apple.com/us/album/adventure-deluxe/id955824966

We invite you to discover artworks in big and some funny pictures for "You're On" at Madeon's blog: madeon.tumblr.com...

Why is it Windows 10? Because seven ate nine.

Some people did this joke (me too). But we first thought that the name of the next version of Windows was also a joke. We were almost sure that it would be named Windows 9. Some guys thought about new names, like Windows One (because Xbox One, OneDrive, OneNote), but this version of Windows existed years ago. At final, no Windows 9, but Windows 10. Yes.

Revealed on September 30 in Los Angeles by Joe Belfiore, Windows 10 is only in its early build. But some (good) improvements have been made since Windows 8.1 Update 2.

Start menu officially back … and improved

The king of Windows 7 was the Start Menu, and it returns for desktop lovers on Windows 10. Of course, we have most frequent apps and all apps list. Search bar has been improved, showing file results and web results, as Windows 8.1 search charm did. User folders, as Documents, Pictures and Settings, are now above most frequent apps, and the shutdown/sleep button is on the top, next to user name.

The great new on this new Start menu is live tiles, next to apps list. Like on Windows 8.1 you can change tile size, move them where you want, pin and unpin tiles. And – cool feature – you can resize Start menu’s height by putting your mouse on the top border and dragging it up or down. According to the Windows 10 early build hands-on video by Zac Bowden (WinBeta), we can go from 2 to 8 rows of tiles, depending of your screen resolution.

Desktop and Modern UI on windows

A lot of desktop users also waited this feature, to have Modern UI apps, basically in fullscreen, on simple windows. Now it’s done. All the Modern UI apps of your system or downloaded in the Windows Store are like desktop programs: you can move and resize all app windows (width and now height). Minimize, maximize and close buttons are also here.

Task view, snap assist and multi-desktop

If you look left part of the taskbar, you’ll see two new buttons next to Windows icon: Search, for recent searches you did, and Task view. When you click on it, miniatures of all your opened windows are displayed on a row. Mac users will recognize the similarity with OS X’s Exposé feature.
Still on the task view, Windows supports now multiple desktops (feature we know on Linux Ubuntu). The miniatures of all your desktops are on a banner above the taskbar. No need to download a little program to have several desktops on your PC.

Between the snap feature introduced on Windows 7 and the task view, Windows 10 adds a new feature called Snap assist. By snapping a window on the left or on the right, a little task view appears next to the active window to ask to user what other window he would want to snap on this side. This feature supports up to four snapped windows on the screen.

Start screen closer to PCs and tablets using touch

Yes, what about touch? PCs and laptops including touch screen, tablets, Surface products? For lovers of touch and Modern UI, the Start screen is still here, with live tiles and apps. It includes now on the left something we already saw on the Start menu: user folders, most frequent apps and all apps list, linked to the apps list you know on Windows 8.1. Apparently, for PCs using touch plus mouse and keyboard, apps list and tiles on the Start screen are the same when we go on the Start menu, so both are synchronized. Then, people loving using the Start screen could naturally set Start screen by default when they click on the Start button. Note that these two versions of Start (menu/screen) will fit with all devices – PCs, laptops, tablets and probably Windows Phones with a new version), and so all screen sizes – from 4 inches to 80 inches.

Charms bar is still present and didn’t change since Windows 8.1. For search and settings, desktop fans will prefer using Start menu. People loving Modern UI still can use charms bar for searching and sharing what they want.

Command prompt … updated?

Here, no one waited that during Windows 10 demo. The command prompt, for typing commands on grey and old letters on black background, has given an update that its users wanted for years: paste text with Ctrl + V on the command line. We can also now copy, cut and select text using keyboard links. Font used is still the same, so any other update will be done for command prompt.

Conclusion: a good start for Windows 10

For this new version of Windows, Microsoft – very probably – found the way to attract Windows 7 and desktop lovers, especially with Start menu’s back (note the word play used for the conclusion’s title), and it’s not surprising that Windows 10 already received positive reviews. With the focus of desktop, enterprises will probably use more Windows 10 than Windows 8.1, and Windows 7 users – pros or kids - will not be lost with this version.

As old Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said on Build 2014, “When we brought out Windows 8 (then Windows 8.1), we talked about touch, touch, touch […] touch and more touch.” This time, we heard more the word “desktop” than “touch”. Touch isn’t dead, naturally, and we’ll continue to see touch on the next generations of smartphones, tablets, notebooks and ultrabooks.

Windows 10 will be the first version of Windows which will be the same on every platform (even smartphones with some edits). The technical preview version has been released for free on October 1st, and users downloading this preview can join the “Windows Insider” Program, a program where they receive updated preview versions of Windows 10 directly on their PCs.

We will have to wait next conferences to see more of Windows 10, especially at MWC and Build 2015, before its final release. Windows 10 will be integrated on smartphones and on the next generation of Microsoft Surface – Surface 4 or … 10? – coming next year. In the box of Windows 10 features we could add Internet Explorer 12, improved version of Visual Studio and more. With all this, Windows 10 could start next year a “battle” of sales against OS X Yosemite (revealed at WWDC 2014) and maybe new Chromebooks.

Skrillex playing
Skrillex playing at Garorock Festival, Marmande (France), 29-30 June 2014.
And we were there ...

Summer is here, and between working on albums and spending holidays on swimming pool, artists let us unwaited surprises. From the new and dreamy Coldplay album to new bands as Files Miles North Of Nowhere and Babymetal (yes, this name exists), here is our selection of 10 albums and EPs, released these 6 past months, we loved very much.

1. Within Temptation : Hydra (January 30)

Sixth studio album for the Dutch symphonic metal band. A great one as we planned. Hydra's "story" launched with the release of the single "Paradise (What About Us?)" on September 27, in which Tarja Turunen (Nightwish) joined Within Temptation singer Sharon den Adel. The album is out on January 30 and directly takes first place in the iTunes charts in Europe.

More info : Within Temptation release their sixth studio album 'Hydra'

2. Babymetal : Babymetal (February 28)

Who thinks that adding kawaii ("cute" in Japanese) in metal music is not possible ? However it is. The name of band is good found : Babymetal. Three young Japanese girls, aged from 14 to 16, queens of black and red, succeed to make Kawaii Metal, and the results are here : several singles whose a "Gimme Chocolate!!" viewed about 11,4 million times.
After four years of work and singles, the band released their debut eponym album. Begun with speed and dark metal, the girls show us the way to jump and to move your head and your hair at once. And they little by little come in Europa and the USA

Listen to all Babymetal songs here : soundcloud.com/babymetal-channel

3. Foster The People : Supermodel (March 14)

The debut album Torches conquered the fans with "Pumped Up Kicks" and "Houdini", that we waited a second album. Mark Foster's band announced on January Supermodel, with the first single "Coming Of Age" and a video showing the mural painting of album's artwork.
The formula of Supermodel is different of the previous album, however the songs are original, good made, still with the touch of indie, pop and alternative rock.

More info : Foster The People, second album 'Supermodel' out March 14

4. Skrillex : Recess (March 17)

If we waited a huge electronic album this year, it is Sonny Moore's debut album. The king of dubstep and huge light shows launched the alien Recess, starting with "Try It Out". The album is varied, with many featurings, and a new and good evolution in Skrillex's career.
Then, it's a bench of great concerts in festivals, as Ultra Music Festival (with Diplo, the duo named Jack U), Coachella, Glastonbury and Garorock, whose blog founder Wilfried Andral saw in live (see top picture). The show of Sonny has no end ... the proof at Red Rocks, Colorado, on June 21.

5. The Crash Bandits : Closer (March 23)

Discovered last year with their first album Better Off, the trio from Minneapolis (MN) are back with a second EP, Closer. This new one offers 5 songs, in the continuity of their album plus first EP The Mutt (2012), with good punk/rock.
The band did some concerts until July 9, and, for the moment, no more shows have been announced. New dates coming, working on a second album in studio soon ? We hope that.

Listen and download free Closer EP : thecrashbandits.bandcamp.com

6. Five Miles North Of Nowhere : Late Nights & Cups Of Tea (April 15)

Fan of Bring Me The Horizon, Enter Shikari, Foo Fighters and all punk bands ? You can add this one to your music library. Coming from Southampton, in the south coast of England, Elliot Jones' File Miles North Of Nowhere are subscribed to powerful and hardcore punk music. The new result after their eponym EP is named Late Nights & Cups Of Tea (launched with its official video), composed of 4 impulsive songs, with good riffs and screams. And the band will get back soon in studio for new songs. A band to watch.

7. Paws : Youth Culture Forever (May 6)

The trio from Glasgow begun to be known with their debut album Cokefloat! out in 2012. After a member change last year, Paws are back with Youth Culture Forever, whose the band revealed 3 new songs at KEXP Studio months ago. The album contains 12 tracks reminding us old pop rock and punk music, still between calm and dynamics songs as Cokefloat! revealed.

8. Coldplay : Ghost Stories (May 19)

After the powerful and colorful Mylo Xyloto released on 2011, Chris Martin's Coldplay revealed a new chapter, calmer and dreamer, with Ghost Stories. "Midnight" is the only song played without guitar, drums and bass, just keyboard, touch screen and rainbow lasers (watch "Midnight" in live), popularized by french music producer Jean-Michel Jarre. Follows "Magic" song, which is really magic. The album releases and became the fastest sold album on iTunes Store this year. The band made also a rock dance song with "A Sky Full Of Stars", produced by DJ Avicii. Even if it's different of MX, Ghost Stories is a successful album, putting stars in your ears.

9. deadmau5 : while(1<2)* (June 17)

Like Skrillex, Joel Zimmermann, known as deadmau5, doesn't stop working on new songs. And about his new studio album, work begun on 2013 with mini album 7, headed by "Avaritia". The double album is announced on Twitter in January, confirmed on May, and is released 5 months later. In the continuity of >album title goes here< (2012), while(1<2) is the longest of all Zimmermann's albums (about 140 minutes) and has the greatest number of tracks, 25. A few days after release, it took first place in UK & US Dance charts, without surprise.

*pronounce "while 1 is less than 2"

10. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu : Pikapika Fantasian (July 9)

The kawaii journey of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu continues : the third studio album Pikapika Fantasian revealed the fantasia and dream side of the princess of J-Pop, with as key a new world tour. Videos speak about them : fantasy world with "Mottai Night Land", Kyary's story in "Yume no Hajima Ring Ring", robotic match in "Family Party" and, lately, Kyary as strange killer in numeric and beautiful world, with the hoverboard of Back To The Future II movie. All between Japanese and English lyrics.

The next Tony Hawk is definitely this girl. After 75 tries, Sabre Norris, a 9-year-old skateboarder, lands a 540 on a halfpipe. The video of the trick became viral and has already about one million views.

Coming from Newcastle (New South Wales, Australia), Sabre is the daughter of Justin Norris, bronze medal winner for the 200-metre butterfly at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and 3-time Commonwealth Games gold medal-winning swimmer. But instead of following her dad’s way, she took the way of skateboarding at six years old.

« My skating all started because I wasn't allowed to get a bike because we don't have a garage. So my mum bought us skateboards instead. I started from rolling down my dad's business car park. I've been skating for about 3 years. My favorite trick is a 540. I watched Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins do it on the internet, and I just had to do it. »

Sabre attempted exactly 75 times to land the 540. At the 75th, she finally did it.

« Every time I tried one and didn't land it I put a rock on the table. It ended up being my 75th rock. I was frothing.  I did some 720s too. Not proper. I called it "540 to revert to splat". I didn't cry though. My goal is to do 100 of them before this Saturday. I'm up  to 75. I still can't ride a bike, but I can do a 540. »

And it is not finished. Sabre Norris is at nine the female champion of the 2014 Australian Bowl-riding Championships (as you can see in the picture above), and plans to win an Olympic gold metal in skateboarding which might be included in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. Henceforth, we have to monitor Sabre’s career, wait a perfect 720 and hope first places at the next championships !

In January 2014, the twelfth Doctor Peter Capladi begins the filming of the Series 8 of Doctor Who with Jenna Coleman. About five months later, the BBC revealed a first 15-second teaser trailer with Capaldi in the TARDIS, like the picture above.

As you know, the first episodes of Series 8 will be broadcast in August. Who says new series says new characters ; the Doctor and Clara Oswald are naturally here. We also learnt in January that Neve McIntosh (Madame Vastra, with Strax and Jenny) will be back for the series.

On February 24, Samuel Anderson has been announced as reccurent character Danny Pink, a teacher and a colleague of Clara at Coal Hill School (school we saw in "The Day Of The Doctor"). The next month, Keeley Hawes is cast as Ms Delphox for episode 5. Then, the BBC announced Tom Riley, Ben Miller, Hermione Norris and Frank Skinner in guest roles.

But the first teaser revealed by the BBC doesn't show all these characters. So we have to wait a second trailer to discover a bit who they are and who they play.

On May 24, YouTube user "John Smith", known for the video "WHOLOCK - Sherlock meets the Doctor", unveiled a fan 'Rain' Trailer he made for Series 8. We can see the TARDIS, arriving on a planet where it's raining ; the Doctor and Clara Oswald go outside the TARDIS, and watch a mountain with a moon in background. The video has been viewed about 300,000 times in four days.

Still in the fan trailers, user SupremePyroViper revealed on May 25 a trailer using BBC and John Smith videos, plus moments of "The Day of the Doctor" and "The Time of the Doctor". You can watch the video here : youtube.com/watch?v=MJZYaxWZb5g.

There was once a little girl who one day became a famous singer and decided to talk about her career with costumes and music. A ittle story unveiled on January 19 by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu  with her new video "Yume no Hajima Ring Ring".

The story-video begins with Kyary in knee-walking, looking like a child, with a polar bear holding her hand. Then she encounters herself in model (before her music career) and cries after that the Model-Kyary walks away. The camera continues to film "Kyary's life" : the Model-Kyary graduates and receives a diploma from an other Kyary with the outfit she wore in "Pon Pon Pon" video (that you can see on the picture above). Then comes Kyary with "Fashion Monster" outfit. At the end of the video, she walks again with the polar bear, hugs him and tells him goodbye.

All the scenes for the video (produced by Jun Tamaki) have been filmed in one day. One day in which Kyary wore in total five costumes : dressed as a child, a student, then with "Pon Pon Pon" costume, "Fashion Monster" costume and a red and white striped furisode.

Kyary made a comment about what happened during the filming : "Because the song is quite realistic compared to my other songs, I wanted to make a video that's based on a story. The theme is “graduation”, so I tried to create a colorful school uniform and a furisode that are unique to me.
The video has scenes of me performing my debut single “Pon Pon Pon” and my favorite song “Fashion Monster”. I had to go through so many posing scenes and it took long to film but it was worth it ! I’m really happy with how it turned out !"
Also have to know that the title of the song means "The Dream's beginning(-ning)". And it is indeed a dream Kyary is living.

The single released on January 26, including an instrumental version, two versions of "Slowmo", song used for a TV Commercial, and an extended mix of "Mottai Night Land".

After the success of Windows 8.1, Microsoft revealed that a first update, Windows 8.1 Update 1, will be released on March 11, 2014. Zac Bowden from WinBeta.org posted on February 3 a video about the pre-release version (build 9600) of the OS. A ride on the new features of the Update 1.

Already planned by many designers on deviantART (like on the Windows Desktop concept by Daniel Skrzypon), Windows 8.1 Update 1 introduces the possibility to pin your favourite Modern UI apps to the taskbar. After installing the Update 1, the Store app is pinned by default.

The Start screen as you can see on the top picture introduces two new buttons next to user name and picture : a search icon directly linked to the search charm, and a power button, waited by many users, to easily shut down, sleep restart the PC.

Microsoft thought of mouse users. If you have a mouse, you'll see by clicking right on a tile a context menu like on desktop, allowing you to resize, uninstall or unpin the tile.
Still for mouse users : you can see a title bar on Modern UI apps when you put the mouse on the top of the screen. On this bar, you have "minimize" and "close" buttons on the top right corner, to easily go back to the desktop or the start screen.

And a little update in PC Settings app : a link to the desktop Control Panel has been added in the bottom left corner.

All these updates have been shown in Zac Bowden's video on YouTube below.

We will update the post if we'll see other new features about Windows 8.1 Update 1, and you will be kept informed on social networks. For the moment no update has been viewed on the main Modern UI apps.

Ready to have this Update 1 on March ?...
